1. Who we are
FUNDACION ZOOLOGICA BUIN ZOO, trading as Fundación Bioparque Buinzoo, Chilean tax ID (RUT) 65.116.065-0, domiciled at Camino El Caleuche, Parcela C, Lote 21, sin número, Buin, Región Metropolitana de Santiago, Chile, is a private non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of Chile’s threatened species and to training in conservation medicine (hereinafter, “the Foundation”). Email: contacto@fundacionbuinzoo.cl.
2. Acceptance
By making a donation on fundacionbuinzoo.cl, you accept these terms and declare that your contribution is voluntary and informed. If you do not agree with them, please do not complete the donation.
3. What a donation is
Donations are voluntary, free contributions, with nothing given in return, intended for the Foundation’s purposes. They are made in Chilean pesos and the minimum amount is the one shown on the form.
4. Types of contribution
- One-time donation: charged once, when the payment is confirmed.
- Member (monthly contribution): the chosen amount is charged every month to the registered card, through a Flow subscription, until the member cancels it. When the card is registered, Flow may validate it with a one-time $50 charge that is refunded. To change the amount or the card, or to cancel, just write to contacto@fundacionbuinzoo.cl; cancellation applies to the charges after the request.
- Greeting or condolence cards: a donation on behalf of another person, or in memory of someone, with a digital card sent by email to whoever the donor indicates, as soon as the payment is confirmed. The card carries the message and signature written by the donor and does not show the amount donated. Replies from the recipient go to the donor’s email.
5. Payments
Payments are processed by Flow (flow.cl), which receives the card or payment method details. The Foundation does not receive or store card numbers: for members it only knows the card brand and its last four digits, to identify it.
6. Receipt and certificate
Once the payment is confirmed, a receipt is sent to the donor’s email. Anyone who requests it on the form and provides their details (RUT, name or company name and address) will receive from the Foundation the donation certificate that applies under the regulations governing it.
7. Refunds
By their nature, donations are not refundable, except in the event of a charging error: an amount different from the one chosen, a duplicate charge or an unauthorized charge. In those cases the donor may write to contacto@fundacionbuinzoo.clwithin 30 calendar days of the charge, and the Foundation will arrange the refund with Flow.
8. Use of contributions
Contributions go to the programs and activities that pursue the Foundation’s purposes. The Foundation is responsible for managing them and for meeting its legal obligations.
9. Personal data
The data provided by the donor is processed according to the privacy policy, only to manage the contribution and, if the donor agrees, to send news from the Foundation.
10. Changes to these terms
The Foundation may update these terms. The version in force is the one published on this page, with its update date, and it applies to donations made from that date.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent ordinary courts.
